Pokimane’s real name is Imane Anys. She is a Moroccan streamer and social influencer. When she was 4 years old, her family shifter to Canada and now, she lives in LA. Career

Because of her brother, Pokimane was introduced to gaming and she starting playing them too. When she started, she used to play Legends of Zelda and Pokemon. But after some time, she switched to playing PC games. The first game that she played on her PC was Endless. First, she went to a French school and then she completed her high school from an English school. After some time, she started talking to her friends on social media and then she used to play games with them also. Her friends used to send her links of female streamers and she then used to think to make a career in streaming. In 2012, Pokimane started her Twitch channels and she used to stream her content as a hobby for first. She then used to play League of Legends. After some time, when things became hard for her in her real life, she started streaming more because that was the only thing that used to remove her stress.  Her content started becoming popular and people started following her channel. She then used to earn enough money from streaming only that she doesn’t have to do a part-time job.

When she was in second year of her Engineering, she decided to pursue her career as a streamer. She then used to get many offers for sponsorships and donations on her channel, in 2016, Pokimane decided to quit her Engineering and broke the news to her parents that she is going to opt for streaming as her career. Her parents were not much happy with her decision but were convinced later.

Income

Pokimane has enough subscribers on her channel that can get her enough money. She can earn up to 21175 US dollars per month. Another source of income of Pokimane is Twitch donations, subscription, and sponsorships. Also, she earns a good amount from selling merchandise and advertisements on her YouTube or Twitch channel.
