Who is Shroud?

The game industry is full of legendry players who, at any cost, cannot be defeated. One of those brilliant players is Shroud – a normal boy born on 2nd June 1994 in Canada. He is presently ruling the gaming world by the name of mEclipse. 

When it comes to pro players, it becomes a daunting task to define who is the best, but when it comes to the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the only pro-gamer can blow your mind off is Shroud whose real name is Michael Grezesiek.  

No one was aware that this Canadian Polish guy will not only rule the CS but will also show his gaming excellence at multiple action games such as Call of Duty, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), Blackout, Valorant, and more.

The beginning of an endless gaming journey:

When Shroud was a kid, he was sure what does he want to achieve in life. The way he used to play games was always showing his determination and passion for action games. 

Shroud started his gaming journey by becoming a part of the ESEA team/ His rise in the world of Progaming began, especially after joining Manajuma and Exertus. In 2014, August was the month when he got an opportunity to work Complexity Gaming by Cloud9. 

Cloud9 participated in ESL One Cologne 2017, where Shroud assisted them to achieve the 2nd position, and previously in 2016, he helped the same team to become the winner of ESL Pro League Season 4. 

Shroud as an Influencer

Presently, Shroud, aka Micheal, runs his own YouTube channel with more than 6 million subscribers, uploading videos of his gaming and frequently does the live streaming. Besides Youtube, Shroud’s official Twitch account also has 7.1 million subscribers as of June 2020. In 2019, Micheal announced that he would be shifting his game streaming account from Twitch to Mixer. And since then, he has gained over 4 million Mixer followers. Micheal also has around 4 million followers on his Twitter and Instagram social media handles combined.

Awards Shroud Deserved:

The Polish boy certainly deserves to win thousands of awards, for his spectacular strategies and tactical skills during gameplay.  One of the most critical moments in his life was in 2019 when he received an award at the  Esports Awards ceremony for being one of the most superior “Content creators of the year.” 

The combined views on his Twitch and Youtube account currently stand at 1.1 Billion (366 M in Twitch and 685 M in Youtube), which is proof enough why he was given such a prestigious award.

Shroud’s Net Worth:

Having about 20  million followers on various social media platforms combined, and more than a billion views on his games, it is believed that the net worth of Shroud might be around $7-$13 million. 

Not much is known about his personal life as Micheal, aka Shroud, is known to be a very private person in real life.

Shroud is one of the most favored players because of his keen knack to improvise and learn. The way he is progressing is expected to remain at the top of the chain for a long time to come.

Shroud is a native Canadian.

Shroud keeps changing his gadgets, at present he uses a gaming keyboard known as- Logitech G Pro Mechanical.
