Installing the board was okay. The only problem I had was getting the Q-shield to line up with the motherboard while also getting the screw locations to line up with my case. Make sure you take out the holes that are for the WIFI on the shield; this was part of my problem. After getting everything hooked up i attempted to start the computer, but got a Q-code error on the top right of the motherboard. I didn't have the ram in properly (make sure your ram and other parts are connected correctly).
Bios update
When i first attempted to go through the bios update process using the USB the BIOS would not update. Instead of naming the BIOS (C6HWIFI) for the WIFI version I named it (C6H). After I changed the file name to the correct name the update process completed without any problems. DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS using the EZUPDATE software, go to the Asus website instead. When I tried using EZUPDATE Windows 10 did not work properly.
Pro's
-Good board quality. RGB's look nice and have good customization.
-Lots of USB ports (But no USB 3.2; USB 3.1 is fast enough for my needs and most people)
-8 SATA ports which is more than most boards
-Much higher WIFI speeds than I previously had. Before I was getting 30 Mb/s, now I get at least 60 Mb/s. Be sure to update all your drivers ( I use Driver booster by Iobit and have no problems, plus Driver Easy for any Drivers that are missed in that database)
Con's
-PCH temps run a little high (54 degrees on idle). Still a decent temp.
Other stats
-idle temps: CPU(Ryzen 3600): 54 degrees, Motherboard: 28 degrees

I purchased this WiFi version only because it was only a few dollars more that the non Wifi version on sale. Buy it!
The m/b has been around for more than 1 year. I tried updating with the help of the ASUS rep. He told me to use the EZ flash 3 to update the bios but he didn't tell me to rename the CAP file. I did what he told and the bios hanged when I click yes to continue ''reading the file from the flash drive''. I had a ''clear CMOS'' button on the rear port but the rep told me to remove the power pins for the m/b and CPU power pins and the battery to reset the bios. In order to do that, I had to remove the GPU as well because the battery sits under the GPU. While I was doing it, he terminated the chat saying I was away.
Then I contacted another rep from ASUS again, hoping someone else will give me a piece of good advice. This time I used the BIOS flashback at the rear of the pc but the m/b still cannot read the file. The light blinked a few times and it stayed lighted after that, meaning it is not working.
Next, he told me to try using the EZ Flash 3 again. I told him that I did that the first time and the system hanged. He insisted it won't. So we tried again and oh well, it hanged again. I asked him what to do next and waited 15mins before I got an instruction.
I asked whether I can use the internet to download since the EZ flash 3 had the option but he refused to answer me. I tried to do it myself but it couldn't connect to the internet stating that there was no connection. I asked him how to get the EZ flash connects to the internet and there was silence again.
I asked him how to get the system to read my ram speed at 3200 when it is now reading at 2193mhz and there was silence again. I asked how to locate the XMP as I couldn't find it and it was falling to deaf ears.
Worst, the chatting time was like talking to someone from outer space. It took more than an hour to ask questions and the reply was like a delayed reply or no reply at all. Finally, he told me I had to send the m/b back for servicing and updating the bios.
I can't imagine I have to dismantle everything all over again. At a loss, I started playing around the ASUS utility website and found that there is a program known as EZ Update. I downloaded the utility and updated the BIOS straight from my harddisk and viola! It read the file and updated my BIOS to the latest version. The whole procedures took less than 10 mins.
I don't know why the support reps didn't teach me that but I do know that the support reps aren't competent enough to advise people what to do especially after speaking to 4 support reps regarding the same issue. They kept telling me to do the same steps even I told them I tried and it didn't work.
ASUS makes great m/b but I doubt they make great support team.

This board will support all 1, 2, and 3rd generation Ryzen processors but there is a catch. You have to update the bios. Now, getting the latest bios is easy enough, go to the Asus website and download it onto a thumb drive, then follow the instructions to unpack it and make it ready.
And, actually, installing the bios is straightforward. Once again, the instructions are on the website, the port on the motherboard is clearly marked, the buttons for loading the bios are easy to access.
But here's the warning: You have to have a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Ryzen CPU (Gen 1 Athlons also work) already installed to load the bios. You cannot do it with a Ryzen 5, 7 or 9. So, there is a hidden cost here in that you will have to have a Gen 1 CPU, which you will use one time, in order to load the bios.
After that, though, it's a pretty good board. And you can mount a monster heatsink on the CPU using the AM3 holes in the mobo. Can never have too much cooling.
